Thank you for bringing your family, friends over. I met a couple of new customers who told me they came after their coworkers brought coconut buns to work and they enjoyed the buns so much.❤️
Thank you (especially to new customers)for respecting the prices i put on my baked goods (specifically my kolaches) i had another approval of kolaches from new customers today, which made my day. He bought poppy seed, opened the box had a bite and thumbed up ❤️

Last but not least, to those who may feel awkward just to browse without buying. I just want you to know it’s perfectly fine. I come to you just to say hello and if it’s comfortable for you we can have a quick chat about baked goods. If not, a hello is always nice. I won’t harass or urge you to buy anything. I usually start with “any questions about my baked goods please feel free to ask” or “how are you today?” or “let me know if you need help”. And sometimes i get ignored or “just looking” rep, please never underestimate the power of saying “hello” and a smile. You can make my long day more soothing. Thank you 🙏 ❤️
In the photo, one of my customers started to bake sourdough, we had a few chats about that and i nicely requested a sample 😉 and she was very kind to share a slice with me. Nice flavor and texture. Thank you ❤️

Brown butter sea salt & caramel chocolate chunk blondies
Today’s specialty and i didn’t have time to post it earlier. It’s very picky when it comes to its consumers tho ☺️ and why i said so. People like me very sensitive with bitterness will taste the bitterness strong (i like it tho), some will taste less bitter or not at all. Tasting bitterness clear is one of the signal you are super taster 😉. I tested at school, i am not but i am still sensitive with bitterness tho. Anyway, in this case the bitterness does not bother me because it was from natural orange peel, not chemical or contamination.
I can boil them first but guess what i just love that strong taste 😊

How far is your holiday planned?
Another week just passed with a blink. This Thanksgiving will be anh’s Bread Therapy’s very first Thanksgiving. I have so much and so many people to thank for. I am going to prep a lot for orders and filling my case for sale this coming Wednesday (except for the cookies). I would love to give every customer who shops at the bakery some small thank you gifts. I will have a variety of my freshly baked cookies. When you come for a pickup or shop randomly on Wednesday, please pick a cookie you like.
Anyone who had my cookies before i hope you like them and those who haven’t had my cookies i hope you will give them a shot ❤️

I should have taken the photo of the whole brioche, but it was soo good to wait for a photo. This lovely surprise came from our baker fellow- Kevin @tudela_baker of the French bakery (guest vendor at NewBo, they are here every Saturday). Kevin is such a sweetheart. I enjoy the brief time we say quick hello and check on each other every Saturday morning and wish each other luck for the day.
He stopped by last Saturday to drop off his fantastic brioche. As every other bread, buns they are best when they are warmed up. I love the flavor of the brioche a lot and more than that was from my baker fellow. That’s how bakers should be. Check on each other, talking about baked goods trying each other’s stuffs. I am so blessed to meet up with bakers in the area or further. Even just a quick chat, its still very inspiring. I feel grateful when my customer brought her daughter (a bread baker) to my bakery. Tom and Mary from Rustic Hearth stop by a few times and i always feel great and strengthened after talking to them.

For those who have just followed me and heard about my bakery recently, anh’s Bread Therapy is a one-baker retail bakery. Most of the items in my case are freshly baked every morning by me. I usually have 8-10 items in my display case per day. Each item has 8 minimum up to 60 max counts. Holidays are exciting but nervous for me. I take orders that go along with the items i serve on my menu, such as sourdough, shokupan, coconut, ube buns, anpan, some Asian flavor cookies, kolaches, cupcakes (an exception). That i can make a large batch for my daily sale as well. And i have to turn down other orders that don’t fall into those categories. I rather be clear with you then you know what you can expect than make a promise i fail to keep. Trust me, if i can, i would take all of your orders. I don’t mean to make your holiday stressful. That’s why i make it clear that you and i can plan together.
Also, i prefer you come to me with a budget to see if we can work things out rather than take pricing quote from me. That bases on my experience. With budget, both parties will be happy 😊. I can give you a better option. ❤️
Tell me the budget, pick up date/ time (very important), i ll bake fresh for you. There is no bake ahead and freeze except cupcakes. If you know about cake and cupcake making, you will see what i meant. Cakes and cupcakes will be made ahead at least one day for texture easier to decorate.
